Courtenay Fraser began her riding career at the age of thirteen on school horses at Eagle Valley Stables in Victoria, British Columbia. She competed in eventing for the first year before focusing her attention to dressage. At this time she moved to Mountainview Farm, also in Victoria, and began taking lessons on her pony “Baycardi” with Roanne Tyson. In 1997 Baycardi retired and Courtenay began riding “Against All Odds” a newly started 4 year old gelding from the PMU industry. Over the next 9 years Courtenay and “Against All Odds” worked with Roanne and also Dietrich von Hopffgarten to get to where they are today …….the Grand Prix arena! Along the way Courtenay and “Against All Odds” were one of only five in Canada to qualify for the 2000 North American Young Rider Championships. Courtenay is also is the proud owner of “Absolut” a 1999 Dutch cross mare.
In 2005 Courtenay, Stuart (loving husband/groom!), Against All Odds, Absolut, Buddy (the store Dog!!), and Lucy (our cat) all moved to the Mainland and joined the Dog & Pony Team! This year they are all looking forward to showing “Against All Odds” at Grand Prix and “Absolut” at Second Level for the 2006 season!
